Louis B. Mayer Theatre – 390 to 571 seats

SCU Presents' largest facility is the Louis B. Mayer Theatre. This spacious performance facility accommodates productions and events with substantial audiences. Named after the founder of Metro Goldwyn Mayer film company, the Mayer Theatre was dedicated by actress Helen Hayes in 1975. The venue is based on a flexible proscenium/thrust stage with lighting, projection, and sound systems.

The Louis B. Mayer Theatre is available for rental to non-profits, community groups, and campus organizations. Subject to availability: While renting Louis B. Mayer Theatre, clients may have access to accompanying amenities such as the Green Room, Makeup Room, Dressing Rooms, Mayer Rehearsal Hall, and Mayer Lobby.

Request the Mayer Theatre

December 2025: While we undergo some updates to our rentals system, our Request for Booking form will be closed. We anticipate it being live again at the beginning of February 2026.

Campus groups looking for space during Winter Quarter can send an email to tsciolla@scu.edu after the holiday closure.
External Clients - please note that we are closed to additional rentals through the end of June 2026. All forms submitted after Feb 1, 2026 will be evaluated with our season calendar.
