Artist Panel Discussion: To Hear & Be Heard

The Art and Art History Department Gallery at Santa Clara University is pleased to present To Hear and Be Heard, a virtual art exhibition, curated by Marianne McGrath that considers civility.

2020 has been an unprecedented year. Along with a worldwide pandemic, there is continued injustice, polarization and antagonism within communities around the globe. Such that we often seem unable to truly listen, relate, empathize and solve problems together. In response to this discord and division there are appeals for civility.

Through the art of seventeen artists working in diverse mediums, To Hear and Be Heard considers civility.  The work in this exhibition invites questions, prompts action, builds connections, and encourages understanding of others and ourselves.
