The Circuit: stories from the life of a migrant child
The Circuit: stories from the life of a migrant child by Leo Cortez and adapted from the book by Francisco Jiménez
Immigration is the most divisive issue today, but the stories told of undocumented immigrants is rarely humanized. The Circuit: stories from the life of a migrant child, a 50-minute play, is an honest and powerful semi-autobiographical account of a 1940’s Mexican-American family’s journey from the border through the fields of California told through the eyes of a boy who longs for an education and a place to call home. This is a story of survival, faith and hope that will open hearts and minds.
