NEA Project #3 / Street Canvas
In Street Canvas, designer Jerald R. Enos and painter Karen B. McNulty will encourage participants to identify economic issues in their neighborhood by drawing and photographing their surroundings, arriving at a unified idea, and learning the steps of large scale mural/canvas painting. Participants will be able to document issues in their community and create murals for public display to help educate and influence positive change(s) where they live.
The professional artist collaborating on this project was Karen B. McNulty. Karen is a noted Scenic Artist who deals with large scale murals and scenic elements. Throughout the process, she aided in the painting and creation of the students’ murals.
